and specializes in the implementation of Lawson Software. It is an independent consulting firm consisting of one independent contractor (Chad Dirst) who has spent the past twelve (12) years working with Lawson Software. Below is a profile of Chad's experience and what Dirst Consulting can bring to your implementation.
Chad Dirst is a versatile professional in his twelfth year working with Lawson Software and information system environments. Mr. Dirst has been certified in the Lawson 7.0, 7.1, and 8.0 HR/Payroll Suites as well as Lawson Web Implementations. In addition, Mr. Dirst has extensive Lawson technical training including Case Tools and Lawson 4GL, LSF 9.0 Environment Administration, WebSphere administration, LDAP, Lawson Database Administration, and Lawson web installations. Mr. Dirst's skills and qualifications include Lawson hardware & software installations, Lawson Software upgrades, conversions, LSf9 migrations, software development, Lawson Web Installations and configurations, sql, plsql development, unix scripting, Websphere administration, and LDAP administration.
In
a recent successful engagement,
Chad served as a technical lead
in an LSF 9.0 environment upgrade. During this process Chad assisted in the actual LSF 9.0 installation, modified numerous custom unix scripts to work with LSF 9.0 including system monitoring scripts, and Lawson core and noncore shutdown and startup scripts. Chad also managed the technical project plan and was able to quickly troubleshoot issues as they arose. Chad has assisted multiple clients implementing Lawson from small local companies to Fortune 500 company's including but not limited to the State of Michigan, Fifth Third Bank, Ft. James Corporation, Walgreen Co., BryanLGH Medical Center, Moses Cone Hospital, and Scientific Learning. During this time, Chad has completed some of the following tasks: completed running conversions in the HR/Payroll, Financials, and Materials Management Suites, writing numerous technical specifications and interface programs (over 200) using the Lawson case tools as well as PRO-COBOL, Lawson administration, Unix administration, Unix scripting, sql/plsql, and installing the Lawson web products.
In addition, Chad has experience with upgrades, Lawson installations,
working with Lawson's Web applications including Self Service suites, Application Designer tool, configuring the Lawson environment, UNIX administration tasks on both HP-UX and IBM - AIX environments, and DBA tasks in Oracle. Chad has also worked in mainframe environments supporting a DBS payroll system. Mr. Dirst has been involved in fourteen (14) go-live production implementations involving the Lawson system. In two (2) of the implementations, Mr. Dirst participated as an Application consultant while the other twelve (12) implementations Mr. Dirst served in the role of a technical consultant. In addition, Mr. Dirst has handled post implementation support on the Lawson Systems.
